Tala Al Ramahi (@Tala_AlRamahi) is a Manager at the Office of Strategic Affairs for the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi. In this role, Tala leads and conducts rich public policy analysis on socioeconomic issues pertaining to Abu Dhabi in various fields including education, citizen well-being and governance.
Tala has recently helped lead Abu Dhabi’s winning bid to host the Special Olympics World Games of 2019, making this the first time ever that a global Olympics event will be held in the region. Being a bid committee member included developing the strategic messaging of Abu Dhabi’s bid, gaining endorsements from key Abu Dhabi and Federal entities, engaging with Special Olympics International key stakeholders, and presenting the bid to the Selection Committee during their site visits to Abu Dhabi. She is now serving as Chief Strategy Officer for the World Games, in addition to her role at the Crown Prince Court.
She was previously a reporter and columnist for Abu Dhabi’s premiere English-language newspaper, The National.
Tala holds a joint BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MS in Journalism (honors on her graduation thesis) from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
